Nimbus Weekender W11
Nimbus
The W11, Nimbus's vision of the ideal weekend cruiser, is designed for individuals with active lifestyles who wish to extend their weekends, travel further and spend time with loved ones.
EXPERIENCE THE NEXT-LEVEL BOATING
The W11 is an evolution of the W9, designed with more space and features on board. This includes a spacious aft lounge area with adjustable seating arrangements, multiple sun-beds, outdoor cuisine, gyro stabilization, ample storage for gear and toys, and a generous amount of deck space, allowing for maximum freedom of movement.
SMART FUNCTIONAL DESIGN
The W11 is built with functional Scandinavian design as a core element, in true Nimbus tradition, executed with care to ensure the best comfort and experience for the user. It also features the award-winning Nimbus sidewalk design which provides ample interior space and easy and safe movement on the deck.
The interior layout and multifunctional seating arrangements are specially designed for social activities and entertaining. The multiple large social areas are perfect for hanging out with friends or family, relaxing, taking a swim or soaking up the sun on either the fore deck or on the aft deck.
The W11 also includes new features such as folding side balconies for added space and flexibility when anchored and an optional hydraulic swim platform that extends aft of the engines so you guests on board can be closer to the water.
The cockpit of the W11, similar to the W9, offers superior protection with a large window screen and seating for three. The standard open boat is equipped with a targa, but an optional large electric sun-top similar to that of the T11 can also be added.
Below deck there is space for four people to stay comfortably overnight in two spacious berths and a spacious bathroom with toilet and shower.
LOUNGE AND LARGE SOCIALIZING SPACES
The boat’s heart is found in its lounge area. This is an extra vast and multifunctional socializing space that can be easily adapted depending on activities such as cruising, sunbathing, swimming, entertaining, lunch and dinner or a quiet afternoon of reading in the shade.
The boat is built on the same well-balanced stepped hull as the T11 and the C11 with proven great high-speed properties in combination with a low planning threshold. The boat is fitted with either twin Mercury V10 outboard engines, 400 hp or twin V8 engines, 300 hp. The speed range is between 20 and 40+ knots.
Joacim Gustavsson
Chief designer at Nimbus
“The W11 is designed to extend your options, take you where you want to go fast, with more space and features on board. Simplicity and ease of use were key considerations in its development, resulting in a boat with next-level comfort to maximize easy living”

Nimbus Commuter 9
Nimbus
The C9 is the third in the new nine-metre Nimbus series following the latest W9 and T9 models. The C9 is a purpose-built, rapid commuter vessel, constructed to equally meet the needs of year-round commuters, active day-trippers or those planning longer, staged journeys with overnight stays.
Freedom of movement
The C9 prioritises spaciousness, surfaces and functionality to provide the best possible onboard load capacity and freedom of movement. The result is easily accessible stowage, wide gangways, extra-large sliding doors and passages through which two people can pass in comfort. Watch the video to learn more about the C9.
Contemporary Scandinavian design
The Nimbus C9 is a boat for connoisseurs of contemporary Scandinavian design; those who appreciate well-though-out solutions and smart functionality. The spacious cockpit offers splendid natural light, with a large, sliding glass roof hatch and a modern, snug driver’s position.
The swiveling cockpit chairs provide ample space for four people to dine or space for five people in total. The cockpit passenger sofa converts easily into an extra bed for two children or one adult. The forecabin has room for a double berth with separate WC and kitchenette.
Unlike other boats in the commuter category, the C9 offers excellent overnight facilities, with room for three adults and two children thanks to its spacious forecabin and convertible salon, says Joacim Gustavsson.
In place of the glass roof (fitted as standard), the boat can be equipped with an electronically opening canvas canopy, ideal for those wishing to optimize the open-air feeling on warm summer days. The driver’s position has space for two people and can be equipped with one large 16″ or two smaller 12″ plotters. The foredeck houses a large loading hatch with access to the forecabin, as well as a sun divan that creates extra seating for four people complete with table. The aft deck houses a wide sofa with ample stowage. The C9 can be equipped with an outboard or inboard engine.
?It is important to us that we are able to meet the needs and wishes communicated to us by our customers, the people who use their boats to get around on a daily basis. This is why we have created a modern commuter, for those who travel in typical Nordic weather throughout the year. However, it would be remiss not to point out that this remains a leisure craft and should not be compared with models built for professional boat categories
Comfortable all year around
The C9 is a contemporary commuter vessel designed to make daily life onboard as simple and comfortable as possible, irrespective of whether you are travelling alone or with passengers. We have prioritised freedom of movement over interior volume in order to make it as easy as possible to board, move freely around the vessel and disembark. As a starting point for the design process we sought inspiration and DNA from our Max II Coupé and Paragon Series, explains Joacim Gustavsson, chief designer at Nimbus Boats Sweden AB.
Joacim Gustavsson

“The Nimbus C9 is a thoughtfully designed vessel that offers appropriate functionality for those seeking a spacious, fast, year-round commuter but who would also like to travel under cover on longer staged journeys or active daytrips”

Nimbus Commuter C8
Nimbus
The C8 is the third in the Nimbus Commuter series following the latest C9 and C11 models.
The C8 is a purpose-built, rapid commuter vessel, constructed to equally meet the needs of year-round commuters, active day-trippers or those planning shorter, staged journeys with overnight stays.
Smart and Agile
Nimbus C8 is a fast, multifunctional Commuter for the everyday traveler, perfect for colder climates like Scandinavia and North America. It is an easy-to-use, smart boat for those who want greater freedom with a slightly lower price tag, who value seaworthiness and appreciate contemporary Scandinavian design.
The Ultimate Commuter
Like its siblings the C8 has a wide walk-around design which contributes to extra freedom and makes it easy to move around onboard.
Thanks to its easy-to-use, functional and agile design, it is the perfect choice for those who want to use their boat daily, regardless of the weather. In C8, priority is given to space, surfaces and functionality that provide the best possible moveability and a feeling of freedom on board. The result is easily accessible storage spaces, wide walkways, large sliding doors and wide passages.
C8 is a flexible and comfortable year-round commuter that works just as well whether you are traveling alone or with company. Despite the smaller size, we have prioritised space that makes it easy to get on or off and move onboard. The trick with the C8 was to build in the same high level of functionality and flexibility as the C9 but in a smaller hull, says Joacim Gustavsson, chief designer at Nimbus Boats Sweden AB
Light and Spacious
The foredeck of the boat offers a multi functional space with seating that can be transformed into lounge, chill or drive mode depending on the situation. The light and spacious cockpit offers plenty of natural light thanks to its extra large glass doors, the sliding glass roof hatch and the openable aft deck hatch. The boat can easily be transformed from closed to open within seconds. In addition to creating a light and open boat, the large aft glass hatch makes loading and unloading the boat easy and efficient plus it makes communication between the crew outside and inside smoother.
The aft deck has space enough for up to 4-5 people to sit. On the benches on the sides and on the foldable aft sofa. Thanks to the foldable
aft sofa, the aft deck can be purposefully adapted as needed: seating for socialising, loading place for luggage or space for activities like fishing or swimming.
When out driving, Nimbus C8 offers comfortable seating for both the driver and its passengers. The swivelling cockpit chairs can easily be turned towards the passenger sofa and the table extended to a full dinner table. The passenger sofa can be converted to an extra bed for two children or one adult. The fore cabin has room for a double bed with a separate head and a kitchenette. The top of the cockpit is equipped with integrated loading arches, which helps transporting larger items such as SUP, kayak or surfboards etc.
Jonas Göthberg
Commercial Director at Nimbus
“With C8 we reach a broader audience, partly because it has a lower price tag, but also because of its smaller size. Due to its smaller size the C8 can moore in harbours where it would otherwise be too tight. In addition, the boat is easy to transport with a trailer.”

Nimbus Tender T8
WORTHY SUCCESSOR
Tender 8 is a 8m full walkaround, multifunctional, well equipped and fast day boat intended for day-to-day activities with overnight accomodation for 2 persons, with a separate head. The T8 is loaded with DNA and design elements from historical Nimbus models - the Nova and R-series.
Fast and safe
The T8 is intended for day-to-day social activities, transportation, water sports and leisure activities. It is based on a newly developed air-lubricated stepped hull with excellent seafaring qualities and a low planning threshold. The T8 has a cruising speed of between 20-35 knots, with a maximum speed in excess of 40 knots.
“The T8 provides stable, safe and quiet performance, which makes it easy to operate the boat at high speed, even in poor weather conditions. The construction quality and excellent seaworthiness and handling, combined with superior speed resources, invite a more active style of driving that still feels safe and secure, even when really putting the T8 through its paces”, says Joacim Gustavsson, Chief Designer at Nimbus.
Freedom of movement
As with the Tender 9, the T8’s design allows for free movement and makes it easier to access the boat when entering and leaving it. The centrally located cabin allows comfortable movement on the deck from all sides.
The spacious bow section and the sunbed in front of the cockpit provide a place to rest for four people. The foredeck conceals a large loading hatch with access to the cabin for easy loading.
Below deck there is a two-person berth with integrated ventilation, LED lighting, ample stowage and separate head with sink. A galley facility is available via a retractable gas burner next to the hatch, and there is an option for a pentry/wet bar with a hand basin on the port side of the cabin.
Reversible when required
Reversible driver’s seats and a mounted retractable table make it possible to produce a dining area for five people in three easy movements. The aft sofa accommodates 6 people, 3 facing the stern of the boat and 3 facing the bow. The backrest on the aft sofa can be set to three different positions (angles) depending on how the sofa is being used at the time seating during a journey (upright position), aft lounge sofa (angled) or full sunbed (folded down).
Under the aft sofa there is a retractable refrigerator and an easily accessible equipment area. On the afterdeck there is also a shower outlet and two side storage compartments.
Everything under control
The T8 cockpit is kept clear and easy. The skipper’s stand was designed with the highest standards and ergonomic principles in mind. Each instrument and switch is at your fingertips and all the details are made in extraordinary quality. Standard equipment includes a 7-inch Simrad GO plotter, a 9″ or 12″ plotter can be installed.
T-top with Lexan roof
A new feature of the T8 is that it can be equipped with a robust T-top with Lexan roof that provides sun protection without detracting from the open-air feel you want from a day boat. The combination of the T-top and large canopy, which covers the entire afterdeck, makes it possible for 5 people to sit comfortably in a bright and spacious yet sheltered setting. The T8 is approved for a maximum of 8 people.
“The Lexan roof on the T-top, in combination with the canopy, makes it possible to stay sheltered during the journey, even when the weather takes a turn for the worse. This extends the boating season and expands the areas of use, not least in Scandinavia”, says Jonas Göthberg.
Joacim Gustavsson
Chief Designer at Nimbus Boats Sweden AB
“Our customers feel that we have really done our utmost to design the boat in a thoroughly considered way that makes it easy to use no matter your chosen activity. In addition, they also appreciate its excellent sense of “seamanship” which gives an added feeling of comfort and security onboard”

Nimbus Commuter C11
Nimbus
The C11 is a fast and spacious year-round Commuter designed for long distance transport with high comfort. What distinguishes C11 from traditional Commuters is that it can easily change its characteristics from "closed" to "open" to better suit day-to-day activities or as a family holiday boat.
Fast and seaworthy
C11 offers the same solid handling and seaworthiness as the T11. The speed register is between 20-40+ knots and it can easily handle long distances at high speed while maintaining comfort. The range is approximately *225 nautical miles with outboard and approximately *300 nautical miles with inboard (* preliminary data).
The 11-series models are built on the same well-balanced, air-lubricated twin stepped hull that has very good high-speed characteristics combined with low planning threshold. The hull has a sharp bow section for splitting the waves and an added “flare” leads away water spray so that the boat runs dry. The boat is equipped with two Mercury Verado V8 300 as standard.
C11 is a multifunctional Commuter that fits several markets with different needs. Regardless of the market, high speed, protected comfort and good seakeeping are valued. But if the boat is used on the Norwegian West Coast, around the Mediterranean or on the North American east coast, the needs will look different when traveling and at destination. Therefore, we see a clear advantage that the boat has naturally high flexibility and more uses than a traditional Commuter, says Jonas Göthberg, Commercial Director at Nimbus.
Flexible spacious saloon
The C11 is designed to easily transport up to 9 people fast, protected and comfortable year-round, regardless of weather conditions. What stands out is the flexibility of the boat which gives it more uses.
The heart of the boat is the cozy spacious saloon with large light inlets and a seating arrangement that can easily be adjusted depending on activity. For example, transport for 9 people in the direction of travel, dinette for lunch or a large u-sofa for socializing. The flexibility comes from the fact that the two sofas can be folded and moved to different positions depending on the desired functionality with simple handles and that the table can be raised, lowered, rotated and folded. The saloon has several easily accessible stowage compartments.
The high ceiling height and natural lighting in the salon combined with fully opened side doors, open stern door and fully opened roof hatches gives the feel of an open boat.
The helm seats two people in typical snug Nimbus manner and has plenty of storage compartments. As a driver you can choose to stand or sit while driving. The dashboard has space for two 12-inch plotters. Options include professional suspension seats and joystick steering.
Wide passages for extra freedom of movement
Like the sibling T11, the C11 has plenty of social areas on deck, a wide walk-around with extra generous deck space and wide passageways that provide significantly good freedom of movement on board. The wide sliding doors allow two people to easily pass each other in the doorways without being crowded. The C11 is easy and convenient to board or disembark and is easy to load or unload.
The large aft deck can be used as a load surface and has a folding bench with fender holders. The aft deck holds an easily accessible storage space that measures 2500 liters intended for gear, tools and luggage. The bathing platform and aft deck are well sized and can easily accommodate several people at the same time. There is an option of an extra external helm with plotter and joystick on the starboard aft deck.
The foredeck offers room for a divan and a sun bed as well as a large cargo hatch with access to the front cabin. Thanks to the large gunwale sides, the foredeck can also be used as a seating area and socializing space.
Below deck you will find a fully equipped galley, two separate cabins with space for two couples or a family of four and a spacious head with toilet and shower with sufficient headroom.
The C11 is prepared for air conditioning, diesel generator (genset), gyro stabilization, joystick steering, roof racks, professional suspension seats, solar panels and much more.
Joacim Gustavsson
Chief Designer at Nimbus Boats Sweden AB
“Our ambition has been to create a multifunctional contemporary Commuter that feels natural to use for several activities such as fishing, swimming, socializing or vacation. It should be just as useful for social contexts in the sun as for transport in rain and cold. Normally we protect against the weather and wind, but the C11’s saloon can easily be opened in sunny weather and let in the sun to let everyone on board take in and enjoy the light. If there is too much sun, you simply fold out the sun protection or start the air conditioning.”

Nimbus Tender T11
Nimbus
The T11 is a 12.4-meter-long walk-around for excursions with plenty of space for up to 12 people to socialize or take part in activities, while also providing enough room for everyone onboard to face the direction of travel when moving at higher speeds.
The boating experience
In the design and development process, we have deliberately focused on “simplicity” and “easy living” for everyone on board. It includes being able to easily and conveniently board or leave the boat, to load, to travel, to stay aboard and to own the boat. Everything that has to do with your Nimbus should feel natural and easy regardless of activity. When things are easy, we quite simply feel more relaxed and can focus on the boating experience. Says Mats Jacobsson, Technical Director at Nimbus.
Simplicity and flexibility
Throughout the design process we were constantly guided by a single question: “What components make for the best days out on the sea together in great company”?
The answer was big, flexible socializing spaces, plenty of room to move around, good protection from the sun that covers a good part of the boat and several spots to lie back and sunbathe or sit in. It was also plenty of fridge space for storing food and drink, a proper outdoor kitchen with barbecue, a large bathing platform with room for several people to enjoy a dip at the same time and finally an extra-large but easily accessible stowage area for gear and toys.
The boat’s heart is found in it’s lounge area. This is an extra spacious and multifunctional socializing space that can be easily adapted to different activities such as cruising, sunbathing, swimming, entertaining, lunch and dinner or a quiet afternoon of reading in the shade. Flexibility is provided by sofas, tables and awnings with simple handles that can be used to rotate, fold and move into different positions depending on what it is you want to do.
The lounge area has three sofas and a large table which, depending on it’s position, can function as a sun deck or a seating area that can either have all seats facing the direction of travel or alternatively facing one another. The outdoor kitchen has drawers for cutlery and tableware, a kitchen sink with hot water and space for a gas stove or electric grill. The large stowage space measures just over 2500 liters and boasts a hydraulic opening mechanism that is easily accessible from the after-deck. It has space for everything you could ever want to bring with you, whether that be SUPs, sea bobs, wakeboards and biscuits or simply an inflatable rubber boat. The bathing platform and the after-deck are ample and easily provide enough space for several people at the same time.
We already added some extra deck space, treading surfaces and wide passageways on this boat’s little sister, the T9, but the T11 takes things to a whole new level. The surface areas are exceptionally generous and the freedom of movement you get onboard is palpable not just in the lounge area, but on the after-deck and the foredeck as well. The boat is far from being over-furnished and freedom of movement is something that you truly feel whenever you step onboard, says Joacim Gustavsson.
The cockpit is snuggly put together in the typical Nimbus fashion, with extra storage compartments and space for three people to sit in the direction of travel. The foredeck offers room for a divan and a sun bed. Much like the T9 series, the T11 also has a large storage hatch at the front of the cabin. Thanks to the large gunwale sides, the foredeck can also be used as a seating area and socializing space.
Below deck you will find two separate cabins with space for two couples or a family of four. Spacious bathroom with toilet, shower and sufficient headroom.

Nimbus Commuter C9

Nimbus T9
Nimbus
The Nimbus T9 is a nine-metre day boat that offers great opportunities for individual adaption and is intended for all types of day-to-day activities, such as transportation, water sports and leisure activities.
Our legacy evolved
The T9 is the first model in our new Tender series, Nimbus new interpretation of the popular Nova, first introduced in 1991. Since then, approximately 2,300 boats have been produced in the Nimbus Nova series, among them the highly successful 26 Nova and the prize-winning R-series that included the 230R, 250R and 300R. Watch the video to learn more about Nimbus T9.
Excellent seaworthiness and speed
The Tender 9 is a nine-metre day boat that offers great opportunities for individual adaption and is intended for all types of day-to-day activities, such as transportation, water sports and leisure activities.
The renewal of a series that has proved so successful, and that is so strongly associated with Nimbus? DNA and brand, is no easy task. This heritage has truly permeated every area and phase, from concept design, construction, functionality and appearance down to the finest details. Everyone involved has worked with the aim of making the T9 the best product conceivable and thus a worthy successor to the Nova, says Joacim Gustavsson, Chief Designer at Nimbus Boats Sweden AB.
As with the W9, the T9 can be equipped with either an outboard or inboard engine. The after-deck can be fitted-out with a straight aft sofa that provides considerably more space. Alternatively, it can be configured with a u-sofa with seating for 5 that easily converts to a sunbed. There is an option for a wet-bar with a hand basin behind the driver’s seat. The module also functions as support while on the water or in port. The boat is available with three different canopy solutions harbor cover, helm canopy or as a T-top design with large openable roof. The cockpit has room for two people and has the same look and feel as the W9. It can be equipped with one large 16″ or two 12″ chart plotters. The fore deck features a large loading hatch with access to the cabin. The fore deck offers an optional daybed which creates an extra seating area that seats 4 people with a table.
One smart way to make the most of the after-deck area are spare cushions that can be placed on the railing, offering both extra seating and a cosier atmosphere. Below deck is a large berth for two with integrated ventilation, ample stowage and separate head with sink.
The T9 is something of a chameleon and can adapt to most situations, for example transportation to and from a holiday home for most of the year, as a tender for a larger boat, for a variety of water sports, fishing, overnight accommodation or onboard social activities with friends and family. The advantage to the fact that at the design stage we were already considering the need for versatility with many areas of use, is that there are a great many options available when equipping the boat, depending on its intended purpose,? says Jonas Göthberg, Commercial Director at Nimbus.
The T9 is based on the same well-balanced stepped hull as the W9. The boat has a low planning threshold and a cruising speed of between 20-35 knots, with a maximum speed of +40 knots.

Nimbus Weekender 9
Nimbus
The W9 is intended for those looking for a well-equipped, somewhat faster day cruiser with typical Nimbus DNA; a boat for those who value functional Scandinavian design, simplicity, safety, security and attention to details.
Functional Scandinavian design
The new W9, a reinterpretation of the classic Nimbus day cruiser intended for those with an active lifestyle. The W9 is a high-speed day cruiser and weekend boat for social activities, offering overnight accommodation for 4 people. The W9 can be equipped with an inboard or outboard engine. Watch the video to learn more about Nimbus W9.
Day cruiser for an active lifestyle
Among the design elements that will be easily recognised are the interior layout, which has many similarities to the 26 Epoca and 32 Ballista, the broad fore deck for extra safety and ease of boarding and disembarking, a feature of the Max II, the design of the side windows from the 22 Spectra, the design and function of the window frame with integrated canvas hood cover from the 305 Drophead, the air-lubricated stepped hull introduced to the Nimbus family with the R-series in 2000, and much more.
“We have carefully selected some of the highlights from our best-selling boats, carefully refining the design and developing new functionality in order to make life as easy and comfortable as possible for everyone on board. The W9 has inherited a great deal of its design language and elements from our older, iconic models” explains Joacim Gustavsson, Chief Designer at Nimbus.
Excellent seaworthiness and speed
The W9’s hull is long, with a sharp bow section and a relatively flat hull at the stern. The Nimbus development team has purposely made every effort to maintain a low centre of gravity and to obtain a beneficial length to width ratio that causes the boat to take a certain wavelength and cover the ocean safely. The new hull makes the W9 fast, with a maximum speed of +40 knots.
“Our aim was to ensure that the boat was secure and harmonic at all speeds, especially between 20-35 knots, and also have a minimal planing threshold. Those who have test driven the W9 up to now have experienced precisely that. The fact that due to its excellent balance, stability and well-defined flair the boat remains extremely dry without excessive spray, only increases the sense of security. It certainly feels as if we’ve succeeded” says Mats Jacobsson, Technical Director at Nimbus.
“We realise the importance of meeting the needs of a larger target group by offering boats with great flexibility for various areas of use, based on a single platform. As things look today, these needs vary from long, year-round transportation in northern Norway to short, speedy day trips in the Mediterranean, and everything in between. We are also aware that engine requirements vary depending on the intended use. This is why the customer themselves can decide between a diesel or petrol inboard engine or an outboard engine” explains Jonas Göthberg, Commercial Director at Nimbus.
Functional design executed with care
The W9 features the prize-winning Nimbus Sidewalk design. This provides the boat with generous space for its size and also makes it safe to move around the boat and foredeck. Clear walkways around the entire boat increase safety and provide a sense of security both in port and at sea.
The bow design is new and is the result of a desire to draw out the water line as far as possible to achieve the desired cruising characteristics. The bow angle facilitates an integrated front anchor winch and reduces the risk of collision when docking on rocks.
The cockpit provides protection for everyone on board with its large window screen. The interior layout and furniture arrangement is specially designed for social activities and entertaining in a variety of situations. One significant asset of the W9 is the unusual ease with which it can change use, for example when it’s time to take a dip after a meal on board.
“On many boats, it can often be complicated to change from one activity to another, requiring lifting, clearing away, screwing and unscrewing components and removing or putting out cushions. On board the W9, only a few simple actions are required to change the boat’s function from a dining area to sunbathing and swimming activities” says Joacim Gustavsson.

Nimbus 305 Drophead
Nimbus
Nimbus 305 Drophead a new kind of day cruiser suitable for comfortable weekend and day trips. The boat is built on the new Smart Speed concept, to create maximum comfort for all aboard at all speeds. Design and function are optimised for social activities and entertaining aboard.
A day cruiser for socialising
A new kind of day cruiser suitable for comfortable weekend and day trips. The boat is built on the new Smart Speed concept to create maximum comfort for all aboard at all speeds. Design and function are optimised for social activities and entertaining aboard. 305 Drophead is an open day cruiser and built on the same platform as the award winning 305 Coupé. This means stylistically pure Scandinavian design focused on simplicity of usage and clever functional solutions.
Smart speed concept
Smart Speed features a hull designed for comfortable ride at speeds from 0 to 22 knots. The hull has no distinct planing threshold and runs with good fuel economy at all speeds. Speed can be adapted to sea conditions, and this means higher safety, better comfort and the best possible way to experience the surrounding scenery. As it’s sister, the 305 Coupé, the boat can be fitted with electric engine from Torqeedo.
Some people like to drive fast when they’re at the helm, but very few like it when travelling too fast at sea.
The central idea of this model is for all those aboard to enjoy themselves and socialise during the trip and under the open sky, said Joacim Gustavsson.
305 Drophead is an open day cruiser and built on the same platform as the award winning 305 Coupé. This means stylistically pure Scandinavian design focused on simplicity of usage and clever, functional solutions.
Simplicity is a catchword in our design process.
Scandinavian design
The 305 Drophead virtually breathes Scandinavian design and materials have been selected with care. The interior of the boat exudes sheer quality and feels spacious and airy. The boat is fitted with integrated ventilation and opening port lights for generous light intake. Bulkhead covers in light coloured materials reduce noise.
Mahogany fittings create a beautiful contrast with the lacquered surfaces and provide a warm atmosphere. Lighting is cleverly designed for both comfort and efficiency. The boat has two very comfortable cabins; the “owners cabin” and a side cabin, sharing the head and shower.
Attractive and hardwearing textiles
Textiles are in spin-dyed acrylic, a material that is not only hardwearing and withstands salt and sun without fading, is also soft and comfortable to sit on. The colours of the upholstery are light blue and beige. The colour scheme and contemporary patterns of the cushions enhance the furnishings. Interior in varnished Mahogany with textiles in light Scandinavian beige or Marine classic blue with Sunbrella light blue technical fabric as option. All light in LED and with several points of curtesy lights.
Textiles have been carefully selected. Not only shall these be pleasantly attractive but also withstand sun, salt water and hard wear. As option textiles are from Sunbrella and renowned for withstanding hard climates and UV rays without colours and performance being affected. The cushion covers are machine washable, this being a demand among our customers, says Joacim Gustavsson.
Joacim Gustavsson
Chief designer at Nimbus
“With 305 Drophead we are turning to those looking for a wonderful and comfortable boat trip with focus on socialising and where speed is not the most important factor.”
Weatherproof, smart
and simplicity
Using, owning and looking after a Nimbus should be simple and easy. Simplicity can sometimes be mistaken for less comfortable and less well built, but for us it means the opposite.
Everyone aboard is to feel safe and comfortable in the knowledge that the required functionality is integrated where it should be and that it really does work. We know that it is only then that people can really enjoy their boating and socialising aboard, says Joacim Gustavsson.
One example is the powered canvas hood cover, which folds down into an integrated cassette in the window frame at the touch of a button simple and elegant. When in place, the canvas roof shelters the entire cockpit, that is to say the helm, the wet bar and the dining area.
The four-seat dining table converts easily into a spare double berth. The front sofa to port can be turned so two people can travel facing front. The cockpit and aft deck fit seamlessly due to a wonderful choice of materials and the large 6-seater U-sofa aft perfect on sunny days for those coming along for the trip.
The cockpit features a fully equipped, glass-fibre wet bar with 65-litre fridge. The boat feels especially large owing to the integrated bathing platform, after-deck and cockpit being built on the same level. The spacious socialising areas make this boat perfect for entertaining friends.
Cockpit and aft deck materials are carefully selected to provide an elegant and comfortable atmosphere while being as hardwearing and maintenance-free as possible. All that is needed is to raise the hood cover when you leave the boat over-night.
